The Bee Gees Show

Featuring 'Stayin Alive'

ImageFormed originally in 1994 by singer/songwriter Jimmy Stanley, following a highly successful appearance on Granada TV&'s popular entertainment programme "Stars In Their Eyes" and on "BBC Radio One's Mark Goodier Road-show" in Blackpool where he met the Bee Gees personally and signed autographs for excited fans of the legendary group.

Stayin' Alive U.K. were an instant hit on the tribute scene as "The Only Authentic Bee Gees Tribute", capturing and re-creating the unique look, personalities and distinctive sound of The Brothers Gibb collectively.

Over an illustrious 12 years together, the band have gone from strength to strength. The highlights of which include:-

  • A performance at the world famous London Palladium for The World Premiere of the Bee Gees West End hit show "Saturday Night Fever", simultaneously broadcast by Anne Robinson's consumer review programme "BBC 1 TV Watchdog".
  • Two very successful appearances on Channel 5's "Night Fever" with Suggs Of Madness. The only Tribute Artistes in the programme's history to be recalled on the show 3 times and performed alongside such 70's Disco legends as Candi Staton, Rose Royce, Boney M and 90's superstar Jerry Halliwell of Spice Girls fame.
  • An appearance on "BBC 1's Battle Of The Fantasy Bands" in 2001, also recognised and confirmed Stayin' Alive U.K's pole position in the Top Six of all the country's tribute bands and sole representation of The Bee Gees by being featured in the Beeb's one-off Tribute Showcase TV show.
  • Channel 4's "King Of Clubs" - A documentary about the history of Batley Variety Club, Leeds in which Stayin' Alive U.K. performed as the "Modern Face" of the club and were featured alongside Maurice Gibb of The Bee Gees.
  • "The Sky TV Independent Awards Presentation" where Stayin' Alive U.K. entertained a celebrity-packed audience including Mr David Jason OBE, Robbie Coltrane OBE, Carol Smilie and many other well-known personalities from the world of Stage, TV and Film.
  • Successful "Sell-out" Theatre tours of the U.K. and Ireland along with backing group The Night Fever Band, including appearances at The Birmingham NEC Arena, The St Albans Civic Arena and The Liverpool Empire Theatre where the band broke all box-office records for a tribute band debut performance.
